nayr742003 Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Ok i have both frames and the only diffference in the j arm and a arm but is there a huge weight difference? If i was to build on what frame should i go with? (or is that personal thing) I just wanted to know what all you think? Quote
[email protected] Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 j arm overall is lighter , less durable so to speak and old technology.... Tend to see most j arm banshees used for drag. my frame is at 41lbs J-arm ( lightend and stretched + 8 ) i have a a arm frame at 56 LBS ?????? i forget exactly what it was. A arms more durable , heavier , longer lasting , stable etc etc... unless u are going to be going in a straight line , go with a arms. Quote
Fireroad Express Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 i don't know about a huge weight difference but a-arm frames are alot easier to get parts for. if i was building a trail, MX or dune bike l'd stick with the A-arm frame. Quote
nayr742003 Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 ok kewl!! Would it be a bad idea to cut this frame and lighten it up more? make it a drag Quote
