Propanol, butanol, other hydocarbon chains with OH- on the end ("ol") are categorized as alcohol. Drinking ethanol will get you drunk, any of the other alcohols will likely kill you, btw. I've read that you jet for e-85 the same way as methanol, but I have no experience w/ E-85. Methatnol is ethanol except with a different hydrocarbon string that incorporates methane. Ethanol and methanol can both make you go blind............ If you toss some fermaldhyde (spelled wrong I think) in there it makes for a great Saturday night in Wyoming. :biggrin: Quote

I pay about 7 a gallon for methanol (VP Fuels M1), can get it for quite a bit cheaper from a pump or buying in bulk in a drum, but if the same performance can be found with E85 vs. Methanol, I'd love to be able to pull up to a pump like race fuel....
