well then, if i knew i was going to be critsized i would have not posted, just threw up a few pics, wasn't an all out drag port or anything.

I don't think anyone is criticizing...if anything, more or less offering more advice for a little more oomph from your setup...

No one is saying it won't run good. Just a basic port job, as you said!!!

ok, sorry to come off defensive guys, its hard to read a post and take it the way it was intended, i didnlt do a lot on the transfer roofs, its your basic trail/play port. nothing wild but it will run good. i have done many the same way i did this one, great results. oh yea, hey jeff, if you would like to let a few secrets out of the bag i'm all ears! :whistling:

hey man, sorry if i/we sounded like we were critisizing but like dajogejr said we arent...just basically trying to help out. You could have still cut the roofs and not changed the timing at all, basically just run over them to make the aluminum to sleeve smoother.

For all you know it could run just as good as a big name port job...

If you're happy with it...or those you're doing it for are happy with it....that's all that matters.

There's a lot more to porting than just grinding, there's pricing, customer service, turn around time...support after the sale just to name a few.

Anyways...as said, no offense intended. They look badass...sleeper almost, but blinged with the PC....

i recieved them friday, they shipped about an hour ago, thats pretty quick turn around, i also powdercoated a bunch of other stuff for him, yea im not bragging by any means, i just thought that everything looked nice and wanted to share

Hey slow down there Turbo! Your first post said : i ported and powdercoated these for 00shee00 . tell me what u think

2nd: i thought the pics turned out good. portwork look ok?

3rd: damn, i was in a hurry to finally get these pics up on here, and no opinions??? hell far. lol

Now , i was in NO way bashing you or critisizing your work and i even gave you a compliment. I simply made a comment/question about the transfer roofs.

IF your gonna ask what we think, and how they look, and for our opinions then most of us here on HQ are very opinionated and will prolly give them.

TIP: If you want some more bottom/mid power, raise the transfer roofs up about .5-1mm Depending on how high you raised your exhaust port and smooth the contour going up the ramp. Also raise the boost port to to match the transfers. Have a nice day!

My opinion is....if you have to ask how it looks, you probably shouldnt be doing it. How it looks and how it runs are completely different.

On the other hand, keep at it, im sure there is a lot to learn and you may turn into a pro and be back logged 3-4 months like the rest of the guys that are good.

he said raise the transfers that much depending on how much you raised your exhaust..and since you didn't touch your exhaust be careful with raising the transfers too much.

Yeah what Trex said. No worries sheerider. Might want to just clean up your exhaust port roof until just about all the black lip is gone. Try to keep the same basic shape of the exh. maybe widen it just a touch. With not much work done to the exh. i would only clean the transfer roofs maybe go about .5mm. These are just basic steps in porting and im not responible for any mishaps etc... lol
