I got the motor together and the flywheel fell off and screwed up my stator and i didnt even know the stator went bad since it still looked ok. Anyway i thought it was flooded because it had a little but not enough spark and kicked it over alot without it actually starting before i took a gamble and bought a 200w stator figuring its a good upgrade either way, and it now runs. My question is did i screw up the rings from seating by kicking it so much and flooding the cylinders? I hear a little noise when i turn the engine back and forth from the flywheel. It sounds like the the piston rocking back and forth? Is that normal for an engine thats not broken in?

no matter how new the engine is your going to hear a little noise if you rock the flywheel back and forth i wouldnt think it would have messed it up at all....by kicking it over i wouldnt think it is any different than running, the engine was still getting oil so i wouldnt worrie about the rings....break it in and do a compression check if your worried about it
