wantingashee Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 how much should i be looking to spend on a 98 banshee stock. i really just want a 2 stroke to mess around with in the woods and fields around my house Quote
Hilarious Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Gosh, I guess that would really depend upon where you were located. I know they bring in a pretty good bit out west. And it seems like one can find them fairly resonably priced in the north east. I'd say 1500 and up depending upon the condition. Quote
wantingashee Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 i live in north carolina. are they dangerously fast stock cuz some people i have talked to say they are a lot faster than raptors just stock Quote
Michael Jackson Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 depends on the condition of course. could be a 98 in better condition than a 06, or it could be beat.. Quote
fixitrod Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 1998 Yamaha YFZ350 Banshee 2-Cylinder 2-Stroke 350cc Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $1745 1998 Yamaha YFZ350 Banshee 2-Cylinder 2-Stroke 350cc Suggested Retail Value $2590 So, stock in normal condition I'd say between these numbers. wantingashee Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 o man i never thought about lookin at kelly blue book. so stock wats the top speed like Quote
fixitrod Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 o man i never thought about lookin at kelly blue book. so stock wats the top speed like 72 but it's all realitive to gearing. There are so many rpms ... so you translate that to gearing. Then with more power, taller gears and more speed. It's not the top speed... it's how fast you get there Quote
Hilarious Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 i live in north carolina. are they dangerously fast stock cuz some people i have talked to say they are a lot faster than raptors just stock Not the case. Been a long time since I've ridden a stock banshee but, IMO given (2) riders of equal skill and that 700r is gonna give that stock banshee hell. The new 700 raptors are not slow especially when you start modding them with just pipes, power commander and an intake. I believe I would look for a bike that's been modded. Suspension, pipes or whatever. You're gonna mod it sooner or later, might as well save some money from the get go. Quote
