Do I need a new clutch basket

Hello

Can anyone tell me if the large gear on the back of my basket is supossed to be tight or if it should turn before turning the basket.I am a new banshee owner and have spent hours reading this board you guys are great.

Clutch cushions are shot.... I would upgrade to billet... check out this topic I made, will make it easy for ya.
