434 Cheetah Cub Jetting-Mikuni

Hi All...

New to this forum. Just got a Cheetah cub kit 58mm Stroke / 69mm Bore

Stage 4 billet head / 20cc domes

Programable Cdi

I was running 30mm mikunis (round slides) on my stock engine, and i intend to try them out.

i know i would be better of with larger carbs but the budget's a bit tight right now.Guess what i want to really know is that will the 30mm's work in the meantime and if anybody's got an idea of the jatting i should start with. ( i'm at sea level 290 mains/32.5 pilot on 350cc yamaha / ave. temp. mid to high 80 F)

 

Next question ..or help needed...20cc domes on this set up, can i run pump gas with 92-93octane? I was told if my compression was 160 or less it would be ok. Should i try octane boosters or would the safest bet be getting larger domes? 21-22cc?

 

Finally...i sure the stock ignition curve would work but does anybody here played about with ignition curves for the above big bore set up?
