always_holeshot Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I have the 97' Holeshot banshee featuerd in atv sport mag. It was built by rossier engineering, and duncan racing. It has pretty good low and mid range power but i just want a lil more and don't really know what would be the best thing to do. It has: 34mm AIR STRIKER carbs. V Force reeds,Pyrimd reed valves Master flow intake manifold Completly ported Transfer ports and case matched Timing plate hogged out for andvance timing FMF fatty exaust ONE SHITTY THING I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE BORE SIZE IS! It pulled out 73horsepower on the dyno,it does 0-30mph in 2.13 and 0-60 n 5.85, but the topend is pretty much the same seeing they were building it for mx.even tho the quad won the national ice racing open mod in 2000. So i just want to know any ideas anyone has and let me know how this quad compares to most. http://www.duncanracing.com/misc/p44x49_ATS99NOV.pdf Quote

Snopczynski Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Those carbs seem to big for a low-mid power bike. Do you have the dyno sheet? Whats the compression in it? I would probably have run stock ported reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds. So, Rossier ported it? Quote

Snopczynski Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 (edited) Turn off the caps. Im not interested in the HP it made. You said it was a holeshot banshee, so the only thing I am interested in seeing is the run time, and the torque curve. So, what did Rossier do to this? I am familiar with them, they piped and ported my xp limited race boat back in 1998 when I raced watercraft. Whats the compression? PJ's are a shitty carb to run for this also. A pwk, tmx, or a lectron would be a better choice for good throttle response. I also read somewhere you had a boost bottle on it? Rip that fucker off, its a worthless piece of tin. I am a little suprised at some of the parts that they choose to put on this for the type of bike they wanted it to be. Edited September 12, 2007 by Snopczynski Quote
