'04limited Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 (edited) ok guys im sure this has been asked a number of times b 4 when i get my port work done do i need to have my crank trued and welded? do i have to bore out ot the next size? my cylinder walls look really good and the bike has really low hours on it. i want to keep the stock size bore if i can but if its gonna be a problem i can get the new pistons and everything. thanks for all your guy's help.Tom also does any one on here have ported cylinders running tr6's?? how does it run? No you dont have to have any crank work done or any other cylinder work done. Although if i had it tore down i would go fresh on it (Honing if you dont need a bore, new pistons/rings) Who is doing your porting?? Never ran tr6s but i hear they arnt good for porting, and they are so tiny anyways EDIT: They will have to hone after the port job anyways to clean up the edges Eric Quote
