2strokeme Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 Banshee started leaking fuel from the right carb out of the lower overflow tube. Tapped on it to maybe release the float, then took it apart cleaned out, but still doing it. What else could cause this? Any help greatly appreciated! Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 (edited) The needle, and seat above the float is bad, or your float height is adjusted wrong. Make sure the float is adjusted right, and if it still leaks, then it has to be the needle, and seat. You can't always tell if the float needle, and seat are bad by looking at them, but if you've cleaned the carb good, and your float height is adjusted properly, then a bad float needle, and seat is about all that could be wrong. If it ends up being a bad float needle, and seat, then you should replace them in both carbs. Edited July 3, 2007 by fastbanshee8 Quote
Fireroad Express Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 worn out float needle? check for a groove or ring worn around the tip of the float needle. this may be causing your problem. lots of previous posts and info on this as well. Quote
