yan Posted May 13, 2007 Report Share Posted May 13, 2007 i have the stock air box with a prow flow air filter tr6 pipes the air box has holes in it and no snorkle my air filter is skwished inside the air box like as if the filter is too big or the air box too small and when they say change your air box is that getting a bigger air box or what or is that just putting holes in the air box and removing the snorkle do they sell performance air boxes if i get a bigger air box or a performance one i must re jette for the tr6 pipes company names links and prices for air box mobs please and i was told that just by moding the air box would make a nice differance oh by the way i usualy ride sand but mud and water come up some times thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MILO Posted May 14, 2007 Report Share Posted May 14, 2007 it's been a long time, but i remember having to trim out some of the stock filter supports inside the air box and on the lid for clearance for the PD filter. i tried just removing the snorkel, putting in the uni 1" filters all thru the lid, then finally just ditched the lid altogether, and of course rejetting all along. it's a huge difference without the lid. i ride trails with dust, dirt, mud, water, whatever and haven't had any problems. the outer filter catches 90% of the dirt. keep them both cleaned up and you won't have any problems.
