jet mech Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 My friends shee had the tensioners come loose noticed when we got back to the truck. So now there is a popping sound about every link in the chain after we tightened it all back up. We are worried that it is inside the tranny but are not sure. Will a bent sprocket do this or could we have gotten the axle out of alingment. We are both a little puzzled and think something is really messed up. It does it in and out of gear. :shrug: Quote
96bansheepilot Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 maybe check the alignment of the axle and if it sounds like every link then it has to be your chain. or take the chain off and start the bike and put it in gear and let the clutch out and see if their is any noise. that should eliminate the chain if it is your tranny.
