Ok, I just bought a 2 into 1 kit w/ a PJ carb. Everything works fine and I was able to pull 51 ponies out of her but the throttle cable has too much slack in it. Is there anyway to shorten the length of the cable without having to buy a new one? It only has one adjustment and thats at the thumb throttle housing. With it twisted all the way out its still got about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of play before it actually starts to raise the slide. Anyone have any idea's that I can use as a quick fix to take up some slack? I have a race on sunday and I need to get this thing a lil bit tighter.

I'd bet you have a cable for a twist throttle....you need one for a thumb.

Do you have an adjuster at the top of the carb at all?

Nope, no adjustment on top of the carb.

Doesn't the cable still have to have a threaded piece on the carb? That's weird. I've had a twist throttle and the only difference I saw was the threaded on that went into the twist, rather than the thumb throttle. Not questioning anyone, just submitting my experience (from what I remember.)

edit: I did not have a 2 into 1 carb. I'm sure that's the difference, but I'll leave this post here anyway.

Well it lasted me through the race and its opening all the way but for some reason its just a bit longer than normal. I'm not sure why it doesnt have the adjustement on tope of the carb but it doesnt. Sure would have been nice but oh well I made it and I finished the race!

When looking for a replacement cable for my 2 into 1 34 mm pj, which cable should I look for? A stock blaster cable since its was a single carb motor and about the same length or a different one? I want to order it tonight while I order all of my maint. parts.
