I didn't study all that much and still passed all of 'em well enuf to get A's and B's for my semester grades. And i have all honors classes. But ya, my Mom made me nervous. She threatened to take my shee and truck if I didn't get good grades. Quote

sandmouse Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 i'm 34yrs young, married and have 2 kids and 1 one the way and friday i'm changing jobs. leaving an automotive career i'v work at for the past 10 1/2 years. loosing my insurance, getting behind on bills. gonna make less money starting off but have the opportunity to make more in the long run, possibly may have to work 2 jobs. have to wear new clothes i had to go buy slacks and shirts with collars on them (i'm a t-shirt and jeans guy). school was a cake walk when looking back now. clear your head, go in there and get-r-done. if you do good in school then when you get out you wont have a job with your name on your shirt. not trying to poke at anyone. i had my name on my shirt for 10 1/2 yrs. now i start this new job sitting at a desk answering the phone and approving or declining service on company vehicles. hopefully you'll do good on the test. good luck Quote

I started my new career about 3 months ago. i went from working on electronic gates and pretty much any type of enrty door you can think of, to become a maint. guy at a hospital. Let me tell you that it was a huge eye opener to me.. Ended up making more money right off the bat, i have the best benefits in my opinon you can get, and im doing a 1/4 of the work. In five years a new hospital should be finished and if everything works out the way they say its going to be i should be able to become a mgr of the new maint. dept there, but i have to go back to school and im stuck with the cool but shitty shift im working now 1230pm to 900pm... so good luck with your new job you will like not being out in the element anymore and the pay will get better...
