reggie Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 (edited) MY BANSHEE IS POPPING BACK FIRING AND JUST SOUNDS LIKE SHIT WHEN IT POWERBAND. , I DID A COMPRESSION TEST AND I HAD 180 LBS IN EACH CLYINDER, MY PLUGS ARE GAPPED AT 24, AND I HAVE MIKUNI 34 MM CARBS WITH 300 JETS(IM IN JERSEY AND THE TEMP IS ABOUT 50DEGREES OUT) I CHANGED PLUGS, CLEANED CARBS, CHECKED AND CLEANED REEDS, REPACKED THE SILENCERS, FLUSHED AND CHANGED ANTIFREEZE, CLEAN THE CONTACTS ON THE MAGNETO, CLEANED THE SPARK PLUG CAPS, AND IT IS STILL POPPING ALL THE TIME IN POWERBAND NOT JUST SOME TIMES. I REALLY DONT WANT TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT. Edited November 25, 2006 by reggie Quote
[email protected] Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 it could be the difference in weather / jetting .... You need to jet for differnt weather conditions ( you sound rich ) if your popping on top end, but check your spark plugs , aswell as your compression.... Maybe your cylinders are crapping out ?
