'04limited Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 hey guys im new to this site just have a quick question for you. i recentley purchased my first banshee i bought a set of tr6 pipes and the k&n filters.. no air box and was wondering what i should be using for main jets and the setting of the needle should be. i have 280 jets and the needle is on the 4th slot. i live in high elevation about 5100 ft. and its pretty cool here any advice will be much apprectiated. dajogejr Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Stock pilots, probably a 250 main because of that elevation, but....280 is safe to run a few plugs chops on. I'd say put the needle on the second clip from the blunt end (stock is middle, or third clip) Because of your very high elevation, you'll need to lean out the jetting as opposed to what us sea level monkeys use!! Also....when the time comes, get a timing plate and shave that cylinder head .030 to get back some lost compression from being up that high, you'll get noticeably better response.... Oh...and welcome to the HQ.... Quote
