2025280.jpgI currently own a 2002 yamaha warrior 350 which is 4 stroke. its my first quad. When i got it on july 8th, 2006 i thought it was fast but now i think i could handle a faster machine. I found a good deal on a 2002 banshee with some stuff on it and i was asking the guy about it and asking my parents to sell mine and ge the 'shee.

the banshee..

i know you guys will probly say "get it!" like my friend but heres some stats for me.

im 14, 5'10 (maybe 10 and a half) i am a amature rider but im doing better than most riders that have started when i did. i had experience with a friends 125 and 150 4 stroke dirtbikes. i wont be doing trail riding, just down the road, when the beans are off the fields i can ride on a 49 acre farm and rip it up.

my dad payed $3, 200 canadian! for the warrior and the banshee roughly costs $3, 600

good deal? do you think I could sell my warrior for $3, 600??

i have emailed the guy a few times but after the last 2 emails he isnt replying. maybe its because he's thinking hes wasting his time. Lol, anyways if you guys think its a good deal ill send him another email. then see what my parents say. they might not like it cause of the mixing of the gas and no reverse. but mixing isnt that hard i dont think and reverse, well i dont use mine much, only when im lazy or just fooling around. sorry for the long post! just giving you some info

Looks a little high to me.You should beable to find one like that for around 2500 or so maybe less if you really look.Ebay would be my first pick for places to look a bashee is somthing i really would not buy sight un seen.Look around on the classifieds here and planetsand and youll most likly get a better product if you cant find one locally. As for steping up from a warrior well lets just say if you like to go fast youll be happy but a banshee is a lot of work but if you enjoy doing things yourself and willing to learn it will be a good experince.

the banshee on ebay has stock suspension i believe so thats why its at that height. and what do you mean by a lot of work? what work is involved with keeping a banshee running? The banshee is for sale close to my area. i live in Leamington, Ontario, Canada and the guy said he would come over the border to sell so i could avoid taxes. I would really like to see it in person first and take it for a test run but i dont think that would be possible. my parents wont travel to the states.

i have a question about mixing gas. what are the "steps" that you do it? i know you could put the amount of oil in the gas jug but how much per litre or w/e?

i am talking in canadian dollars above and i doubt i can get a 2002 banshee for $2, 500 around my area. my friend's cousin got his 2002 banshee for $4, 500 but it might of been when it was newer. he didnt tell me.

are the banshee's easy to maintain? like id there any time consuming thing that would need ot be done? mixing the gas is the only thing i can think of.

and if you were talking about a warrior selling for $2, 500 canadian go to www.autotrader.ca and choose "4 wheelers" then pick "windsor and surrounding area" then look at some warriors. there used to be a few 2002's like mine with some little things on there that went for $3, 600 and up. cant remember exact price. but i guess i could put up a price then if its not selling put the price down. also putting O.B.O with it! LOL

I was refering to the price. I picked my 04 up for $2800 and its a banshee about a year ago but the prices vary in diffrent ares.As for mixing the gas you just get you some quality oil and mix it with the gas, I use 4 ounces to the gallon. There will be other maintance needed but most of its pretty easy.If you like it and have the money get it youll like it.The prices you have mentioned just seem steep to me I also have a 02warrior that i paid $1700 for.On banshees the year doesent mean that much they havent changed anything but the switch to a-arms since 1987.Pay more attention to the condition and after markek stuff than simply just the year.
