nomad Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Trying to find some guns to buy and I could have sworen Cabela's had guns to buy but they all say black powder. I dont live anywhere near a gun store but maybe a walmart and they only sell paint and pelet guns. When in PA I bought almost all of my guns online. PM me if you'd like a list of several reputable "ebay" type sites. Quote
nomad Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 gunbroker.com but they have to be shipped to an FFL (dealer). u can only buy guns 100 years or older and black powder. u can buy C&R curio and relic guns (like sks, makarovs...) if you have a c/r license, but it is easy to get. Well, that's the major one since you typed it. The transaction has to go from FFL to FFL (Federaal Firearms License) dealer. You (unless you have a license) have to find an FFL dealer, contact him to see if he'll perform the transaction, have it shipped to him and pick it up from him and he calls in a background check which takes 5 minutes. The FFL will charge from $15 to $40 dollars for the transaction. This list from gunbroker is a good start in obtaining a dealer in your area: http://www.gunbroker.net/User/DealerNetwork.asp Good luck and be responsible. P.S.- some states do not allow these type of transactions without certain permits, so check before you bid/order. Quote

Kuma Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Several places sell guns online but they usually (maybe have to) send the gun to an authorized dealer in your area for pick up. If you live near a walmart check out walmart.com they have several guns to purchase thier, and they will ship it to your local store for pick up. I bought a Ruger Mini-14 this way. Quote
