MudSlinger09 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Share Posted August 10, 2006 well it all starts like this, me and someone else were riding on my shee , i was rippin pretty good (5th or 6th gear) and i get back into the trails , and it wont down shift , its stuck in 4th gear . i can shift up to 5th and 6th but not down! anyone got any ideas? i searched for lil bit and couldnt find an exact problem like mine Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
racer Posted August 10, 2006 Report Share Posted August 10, 2006 is your shifter limp kinda? mine did the same thing and its a simple fix. there is an eccentric stud in the clutch housing that hold the shifter return spring in place. thats broken, meaning the ratcheting type shifter wont load another gear. if you pick the lever up manually, with your foot, youll hear/feel it click and then you can downshift. youll have to do that everytime you wann click down until you fix that part. but at least its a cheap pain in the ass right?
