Alright well on my right rear hub the nut that tightens the tire down is stripped. Just 1 of them is and the others are in need of replacement and now I need to know how to get this nut off (Frustrating me very bad). Is it going to require me popping the hub off and taking the whole tire w/ the hub into a shop so they can take it off? I dont want to spend the money and I need to also know the size of the threading so I can get new nuts because I AM NOT going to the stealership, last time I did that for my moms 450 they charged us $5.00 a nut and thats ridiculous. Any help and if anyone in Northern Vegas could help me out it'd be greatly appreciated.

As for what size the nut is, why don't you just run down to the local hardware store and have them match it to a bolt of a known size.

As for getting the stripped part off, is it the nut or the stud that is stripped? If it's the nut, you can try turning it couter closkwise while pulling on it and hope thta you can work it off. If it's the stud that 's stripped, take a hack saw blade and work at cutting the nut off. All of these methods are assuming that you have limited shop resources and/or mechanical skills. If you have more of either, let me know, I have many better ideas to try.

I went and looked at my bike and it looks like an M12x1.25 thread on the wheel studs. That's just my best eyeball engineering opinion though. You may still want to take a good nut with you to compare. :baseball_innocent:

There is a good chance both the nut and the stud are stripped. Can you get a screwdriver behind the nut? Wedge the screwdriver behind the nut and put pressure on it as you try to unscrew it. Should come off. The studs aren't that expensive anyway if you need one. Just tap on it when you get the nut off, it will pop right out of the hub. Get a new stud and nut from the stealership, and you are good to go.
