How do you remove it? unscrew the little clamp that holds it to the air box lid and yank it off. What are its uses when on? an air intake for the airbox to draw air from a higher and more protected area to reduce the amount of incoming forgien materials( dirt, water, etc), restrict air flow to the airbox to limit horsepower output of the engine.
