Until I get my Cub motor back for my new Banshee; I'd though I'd try my CPIs on my old one. Currently running T5s, K&N, no lid, shaved head .0020, 370 mains, 60 over bored (not because I wanted to! :flush: )stock pilots, stock needle in middle, stock timiing. This bitch screams to be basically a stock motor. It'll beat my YFZ, all my buddies' other piped and jetted, timing advanced Banshees, from start to finish. It even gets the holeshot on the 4 strokes on dirt.

What, if any jetting changes from the pipe exchange?

If it were me I wouldnt make the change. If your beating everything now with the t-5's why switch? Dont be like me and fix it till its broke. I seem to do that time and time again. Save the wear and tear on the CPI's and just keep running them T-5's. On a stock motor I'm not sure you'll even notice that much of a difference.

I dont see any harm in tryin em on the pre modded motor.

I did on mine and saw a helluva difference. I had fattys though.

I've read that the fattys are comparable to the toomeys with

the toomeys having a little more top end. When I changed out,

I left the jetting the same and it was sufficient. May not be the

same in your situation as most bikes are different. PM Ellison445.

He had t-5s and changed to the cpis.

I left the jetting the same. Not a huge difference. Lost lots of low end and gained a little through the midrange and upper RPMs. The power comes on different and its hard to know when to shift b/c it sounds the same from the second ya pop the clutch in 2nd all the way through 6th.

I would imagine the same as you experienced. Maybe you would have gotten some low end back by upping your pilots, probably not much though. My stock 99 has T-5's and my ported 94 has CPI's. Both run like a mofo. I wondered how the 99 would do with the CPI's, now I know. Thanks for the info.

Funny, I didnt lose any lowend when I switched.. I left the jetting the same and it was dead on. When I switched to rockets I lost low, but gained a shit load of top end
