Well...what do your plugs say.

I don't have kehin carbs (yet...) but...from what I've read around here, your mains seem very rich.

Normally...they are in the 150 to 170 range. However, you do have a 1 into 2.

I'd start with a set of fresh plugs, go for a WOT rip, then see how they look (plug chop)...

Plugs don't lie...:)

I don't have any experience with a 2 into 1 yet, but I will soon since I just bought one off of a site member. I'd personally try the 180 before the 170 cause I'd rather be a little rich instead of lean and work my way down. JMO

Do a plug chop. Sputtering could be caused by a few things...

If the plugs are dark...or rich...then, leaning it out would be logical.

However, old plugs, dirty air filter, bad reeds, failing or faulty electronics...and others, could cause this.

Run it wide open for a ways then cut it off with out lugging it pull the plugs if they are tan to light brown ur allright if its light tan to white ur lean if its dark brown to black ur rich.

That's wrong advice for a plug chop. New plugs can take a while to color...

Basically...warm the bike up with old plugs.

Put new ones in.

Do a WOT run (Wide Open Throttle) 1st through at least 5th gear.

KIll the ignition, hold the throttle open...and coast back. Pull the plugs.

Cut, hacksaw or grind off the threads, exposing the porcelin. There should be a light brown ring around the base of the exposed ceramic...about a 2mm ring.

If it's light, it's lean...black or dark...it's rich.

Looking at colored porcelin at the end of the tip, near the electrode, is not the best way...
