got some new carbs and i am tring to get them dialed in... i can let the bike sit all weekend get on it turn the key on kick it one time and it starts right up .when i first took it out after the carbs were put on it would bog bad then i moved the needle up to lean it out and now its got alot more snap to the bike then it did before..do i need to lean out something else or does it matter that i don't have to use the choke to start ..i did a plug chop and the plug have a nice alittle dark chocolate look to them .maybe go down a size on the main jet and also the pilot.or just leave the way it is ..it runs good at 1/2 to wot but don't know if it will run better if i go down on the main.....

and if i go down on the pilot that should take care of the not using the choke to start the bike problem oif thats a problem........

What's the temp where you are?

I dont know that I would worry about it if it's running good and

your plugs look good.

How is your off idle response? Is it crisp or a little boggy?

You might could go down a size on your pilot.

If the plug chop looks good, leave the mains.

Warm it up...ride around going no more than 1/8 to 1/4 throttle, look at the plugs again.

If they're dark, go down on the pilot or adjust your air screws.

You could warm it up...start with the air screws 1/4 turn out, and work your way out until you get your highest idle, 1/2 turn at a time.

Remember to wait 20 seconds for the adjustment to set in.
