quickturbo Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I am having a hard time getting my carbs to idle correctly. They seem to be running lean and I have moved the needle clip to the bottom ring with only a very little help. I played with the pilot air screws and I had them up to 4 1/2 turns out and still not rich enough. At full/mid throttle it seems OK I have many different main jets just no pilot jets. Does anyone have any other suggestions? My mods are -fmf exhaust -filter with no air box lid -cylinders bored to 30 over Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 If you opened up your air mixture screws 4 1/2 turns, then you added more air, and leaned it out. Your air mixture screws should be somewhere between 1-2.5 turns out. Try that and see what happens. Quote
