BansheeBoy17 Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 A buddy of mine used to be a wholesale dealer for Viosport Helmet Cams. He has over a hundred of them to get rid of. All that included is the camera itself, the wire and battery pack can be found at Viosport. The total on the cable and battery pack shipped is around $40. He wants $150 for the cameras. Please PM or email with questions / comments. Quote
TheBansheeMan86 Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) if you buy it from viosport its 199.99 and it includes: Adventure Cam II, 5-ft 3.5mm A/V Cable, 5-ft RCA A/V Cable, Battery Holder, and Universal Mount. and the total for all those accesories is $71.31 shipped. and if you want the battery, its $53.34 shipped. So its either $253.29 for the camera and a battery pack retail from viosport SHIPPED, or its $112.14 for the accesories you'd get from the retail set PLUS a battery SHIPPED, PLUS $150 for a camera from your buddy plus shipping which would be $263.14 plus shipping. tell your buddy to lower his price by like 75 bucks and he might sell some, cause it doesnt look like he's dying to get rid of them. BansheeBoy17 Posted January 4, 2006 Author Report Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) Prices lowered to 125 shipped I guess It really depends on what you already have . All I needed was an a/v cable to go from the helmet cam to the regular cam. You do not need BOTH cords, you only need one , depending on what type of connection your camcorder accepts. And the battery pack is also needed, so thats why my total was only $40 for the acceseries. And for the mount, most people use zip ties for the mouting because the mounts they sell you are permanent. Its up to you. All you really need is the battery pack and one cable which is around $40 and the mount is optional, thats only $8. So say $50 total if you want the mount. Or $40 without the mount. Total with mount = $175 shipped Total without mount = $165 shipped. Thats saving you about $30-$40. All cams are brand new. Edited January 4, 2006 by BansheeBoy17 Quote
TheBansheeMan86 Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) one battery pack and one 3.5mm plug a/v cable shipped is 71 bucks so if you charge 125 then thats like 196, which isnt bad you're basically trading your other cables and mount for a battery. BansheeBoy17 Posted January 4, 2006 Author Report Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) I was referring to the $7 battery pack, since that is what the package comes with.. which runs off 8 AA batteries, So 21+7 = 28+ shipping which would be 125 for the cam + 40 shipped for the cable/battery pack .... but yes you could go ahead and spend $40 on a rechargeable pack.
