BansheeBoy17 Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 I just rebuilt my banshee bottom end up and the clutch was fine for a while but slowly it began to start revving up when the clutch is in. Justintoxicated Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 (edited) yea, pull the clutch cover off and take a look, make sure all the bolts for the springs are not loose. Better check to make sure one of them isnt about to fall off and cause some serious damage. And look for other issues as well. BansheeBoy17 Posted November 20, 2005 Author Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 Not quite sure if thats the problem.... my buddies blaster does the exact same thing and he replaced the clutch with a brand new tusk offorad one and it does the same thing. sycoracer911 Posted November 21, 2005 Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 could be your carbs.... gummed up... cuz i know mine when im running out of gas and i pull in the clutch it revs up or if im in nutral it will rev up... if the floats are sticking it will be acting like its not getting fuel and rev up... even if it doesnt make a diff cleaning the carbs is good for it anyways Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wallrat Posted November 21, 2005 Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 (edited) Maybe you mixed up your throttle and clutch cables. Seriously though...sounds more like a cable issue than an engine issue. The fact that your buddy has the same problem seems to reinforce this. Maybe you guys routed your cables a little too tight so when you pull in the clutch, it puts pressure on the throttle cable. Wallrat Posted November 21, 2005 Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 Air leak might be a good guess too. On my PWK carbs the clutch lever on the case hits the bottom of the left carb.
