To change your gearing for more bottom end acceleration (more mechanical advantage) you will want to go down on the front sprocket and/or up on the back. The general rule of thumb is that one tooth down in the front is generally comparable to 3 teeth up in the back. Because of this I would recommend going to a 13 tooth on the front first (stock is 14, although I've heard several claiming 15) see how you like it and then if you want more start going up on the back. You could also go down one more tooth to a 12 on the front, but keep in mind this is equivalent to a significant change in the back so it may be too much.

Going to a 13 in front is a pretty large reduction in gearing. I can't immagine wanting to go lower than that in front. You may want to try that first, if thats too low then start adding a tooth in back. I prefered 14 tooth in front for most types of riding. 13 tooth let me pull taller gears climbing steap sand hills because the gears are closer together so I didn't have a problem bogging when shifting from 3rd to 4th. But for playing around in the dunes or trail riding stock gearing makes you need to shift a lot less.
