MonoxideChild420 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 (edited) ok, i got the t.o.r.s. removal kit from vito's. the only thing is, i have a problem with it idling pretty high once i start it. and usually i will have a hard time starting it, like kick it for about 10min. before it seems to start kickin over. personally i didnt install the kit myself but i think it has something to do with the throttle cbl. because it seems alot stiffer than before , but i mean it sounds good and runs ok other than the idling real high, and kicking it alot to start it,, and suggestions...? sorry for posting before doing any research, but i kinda need ansewrs fast cuz, im at work.. thanks Edited October 10, 2005 by MonoxideChild420 Quote
i12gofast Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Are the carb slides seated properly? Take off the airbox and look into the carbs, both black slides should be at the same height with just a little half-moon shape clearance at the bottom. Also check the top of the carbs where the cables go into the caps. It could be hung up, making your throttle position higher than it should be for idle. Quote
reded Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Check the rubber hose that goes between the two carbs. It can look like its on there and not be. If that muther falls off you wont know wether to shit or go blind. Makes em do all kinds of weird stuff. Quote
MonoxideChild420 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 haha, i'd rather shat then go blind. its not the choke , i think ill try the cable like ya said, it just seems like its reving higher than normal and staying hung. kinda like when i start my car, it idles high for about 4 minutes then drops to about 800-1000rps, i mean i know it revs up when you first start it cold but it should stop after about two min right... also off the top of your head does anyonw know what size the hoses on the carbs are... decon Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) did you install the idle screws and new carb tops? you also have to disconnect the tors from 3 other places...their is a control box above the engine on either the left or right framel... Edited October 11, 2005 by dEcon Quote

Since banshees are carbureted, they will not idle up and then idle down after a short warmup period automatically. The manual choke takes this role... Quote
MonoxideChild420 Posted October 11, 2005 Author Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) should i have the clip set at the fourth one from the top of the needle and a 300main jet.. if i am running t5's,k&n pods,...i might need to rejet it, but i really think its the brass idle screws on the carbs or the throttle cable... im gonna have my friend mess with it becauuse i f**k stuff up. now it seem like its not idling at all ,if i let off the throttle and let it idle on its own it will fall on its face...
