Hey I just bought my K&N's and was told that I have to have the stock air box and that they are too much if you don't have pipes.

From experience with something similar, I went from stock engine and intake to a shaved head, advanced timing and 2:1 intake-no airbox.

I had to bump my jets up 3 sizes.

It didn't matter on pipes really. The engine can only use so much air/fuel with stock pipes anyway. It will flow more with the K&N, but you're not going to catch your bike on fire.

Just rejet it.
