pashee Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I just changed my tansmission oil over the weekend. I was out just messing around last night with my buddy and I smelled something after I did a wheelie. I saw tranny oil all over my skid plate and on the bottom right a arm. Not a ton but enough. We flipped it up on the wheelie bar to see if the drain plug was on ok and it was. didn't notice the oil anywhere else on the engine either. One of the pipes is was a little loose but other than that everything looked ok. Any ideas where it could have come from? thanks!! Quote
ellison445 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Has your chain ever popped? I would check around the sprocket area. Quote
sheefreak Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Is it possible you overfilled it? If it is a little too full, or have neglected an oil change for a while, I've seen it spew out the crankcase breather tube. May want to check that. Quote
pashee Posted September 28, 2005 Author Report Posted September 28, 2005 I am thinking it may have been a little too full. Because I did just change it. It still had enough in it too when i checked it after it came out. I wasn't sure where it would come from though. I will check the breather and the sprocket out. The cases are all brand new as of this spring so I am mostly hoping it can come from some where other than a crack! Quote
