superman0440 Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 i want to get my banshee bored and somebody said it wouldnt do no good unless i get it ported to, what should i do????????? Quote
sheefreak Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Don't bore it unless necessary. Porting alone will make a huge difference in power. Quote

sheefreak Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 If you are talking stock cylinders, you are not even going to notice a difference in power if you bore it to the max, and then after you go through that top end, your cylinders are worthless. Just bore when necessary and you have 4 times to rebore. If you are talking going w/a big bore kit, then more power to ya. I'd also port it if you want serious power. Quote
decon Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 what do u mean unless ness? 404020[/snapback] he's saying only bore when you need to, as in if you blow a top end and the pistons mess up the sleeve. if your just rebuilding and your sleeves are fine all you need to do is hone and put a new set of pistons in. no you dont need to port it when you rebuild your top end but if you want more power yes. porting is the best thing you could do on a banshee, just wakes up the motor even more, I would suggest you do it.
