chapmanmd Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Howdy. Does anyone know the inside diameter of Banshee coolant lines (the big ones)? I need to get some hose ordered, but dont know the id. Thanks. Quote
Holyman Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I'm pretty sure they're 3/4" because there are alot of guy who solder copper pipe fittings together for various reasons toput in the hose. Those fitting are 5/8" OD. Next size up is 3/4" which is about 7/8" od and that's too big I guess. So I figure it's about 3/4". Quote
chapmanmd Posted August 1, 2005 Author Report Posted August 1, 2005 Well doesnt that suck... I wanted to use Earl's braided line, but they only have it in 5/8 or 7/8 id. Thanks Holy. Quote
racer Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 beware! the fitting coming off of the water pump is larger than the corresponding fitting on the radiator. Quote
chapmanmd Posted August 1, 2005 Author Report Posted August 1, 2005 This is getting harder by the minute... I completely forgot about that. Quote
RNBRAD Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 beware! the fitting coming off of the water pump is larger than the corresponding fitting on the radiator. 399820[/snapback] Cole, you amaze me sometimes!! The fitting is a little bigger as Cole stated, I used the stainless automotive heater size hose which fit perfectly on all the banshee connections. It came with different diameter hose spacers which allowed a great fit to the variation in sizes. Far superior way to go than braided line. The cooling affect is phenominal. PM me if you need any details. Sorry about the glare, didn't realize it at the time. Quote
