BdBanshee Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Maybe if you post a pic of the part you found we can identify it and go from there. The tranny is pretty simple to split because the halves lift off one another, and then all the gears and stuff will stay in the bottom half. My 1st guess would be the shift shaft centering pin, does it have a slot for a straight blade screwdriver in one end of it? Quote
grounded Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 I had that happen to me earlier this year, the piece looked like it was 3/4" in length and maybe 1/4" diameter. I was told it was part of the shifting mechanism that had worn down slightly and fell out of it seat. A new one was ordered and replaced . The location is under the clutch cover. Quote
