MILO Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 my clymer's diagram shows a small flat washer between the clip on the needle, and the holding plate that screws to the slide. well, neither of mine have that washer in there. i'm the only one that's ever worked on it, and i sure don't remember them being there, or missing them last time ( the only time) i had them apart. it apparantly doesn't have much affect cuz it's been a long... time since i moved the needle clip last. but it does occasionally have a sputter in the mid range. would that be from those washers missing and letting the needle move a little?? if you guys think they are necessary, i'll replace them, but if not i'm not gonna worry about it. fixitrod Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I don't remember my stock carbs being like that. I believe the dyno needles use a washer along with the clip to achieve a have step in the needle change but that's it. Quote
