what is current compression?

in them 5 hours of riding, any changes, or just normal riding, explain?

has there been a change in weather temperature from that time to now?

you said you cleaned carbs, did you take out pilots make sure there wasnt something plugging a hole, the holes are tiny so it dont take much, totally disassemble, clean with carb cleaner and then spray with compressed air.

When it did run...how'd it go?

Change the plugs...I think 270 is too rich for 5200 ft. of elevation.

I'm thinking about a 240 or 250....

I think your pilots are fine...if it idles correctly.

Almost sounds like electrical.

Close the plug gap to .020. See if it helps in the upper ranges. if it does...you definately have a CDI starting to go bad...or possibly a coil.

I know it was a fresh rebuild, but...do a compression check anyways.

You'll end up with around 100 to 110 PSI or so....at that elevation and a stock head.
