what does a motor control do?

i don't really no if thats what its called but i think its called a motor control or a thor control box,mine's unplugged since i baught it (baught my shee used 2 years ago) and i haven't hade problems with it, but my question is: what does it do and y is it unplugged?

its a tors control, leave it unplugged.do a search on TORS and itll answr all your ?s.im sick of typing about the damn tors system
