atvbandit Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Hey guys, New to the forum yet longtime banshee owner. I have an 04 with TR6, boost bottle, reed spacers and 2 into 1 hush/spark arrester unit. I am considering installing a coolhead with 21cc domes primarily to bump up my compression due to riding in mostly 2500-5000 ft elevations. I wrote Toomey and they advised that increasing compression would alter exhaust gas temps (obviously higher comp=higher pressure=higher temp) and this is not what the TR6 was designed for. My question is since I am riding in higher elevations which consequently would lower my compression, would increasing my compression via a coolhead even it out? Any one running these combination feel any difference in power? Any help appreciated. P.S I have a coolhead with 21cc in my 97 with only Bill's pipes and the shee runs like a raped ape. Thanks again. 1sreamin350 Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I think it would, just about even ya out. I had that setup wit twenty-twos and worked great. I was also at 4000ft. If you do a search on those tr6's you'll find that they are meant for a stock 350. That the reason why I disided to chang'em.. But if your gonna keep the stock porting, you should be alright.. Hope tis helps. Quote
