jmoore Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I installed a K&N filter today and rejetted. After going on a little test run I got back in my garage and noticed a huge pool of fluid underneath my right front. After freaking out and tearing off my front plastics to find out what the hell it was, I realized it was my overflow hose running from the top of my tranny to the front end. I unscrewed the dipstick and there was definately some pressure built up in there. What the hell would the K&N have to do with this? I'm clueless... Quote
Wallrat Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Your case has 2 vents to help with any pressure build up. Maybe they're clogged? Check and make sure they both have hoses attached to them. If the hose falls off those things can spit oil like crazy. I don't think the occassional spit of oil out the vents is a major deal, but I'd still keep an eye on it. Quote
jmoore Posted May 15, 2005 Author Report Posted May 15, 2005 Seriously guys, I need some help on this one. I just tried changing out the tranny fluid and the same thing is happening. I changed the fluid, started it up and let it idle for about ten minutes and my new fluid started dripping out the front overflow hose. Not just a couple of drips, an eight inch pool. Prior to this, my shee had been sitting in the garage for two weeks. Yesterday I installed the K&N filter and changed my jetting. That is when this all started happening. Do you think that maybe something could have been bumped or something while messing with the carbs??? wtf? Quote

But id like to know what the problem is. Mine has been leaking some oil out of the rear overflow. It has to be getting pressurized somehow. I havent quite figured it out yet, so if you do, let me know. Quote
