DDot69 Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I was wondering if someone could answer a couple question for me. I have a MSD enhancer, I was wondering how I should set it. I have a timing plate on now set at 7 degrees. I normally dune/trail ride, the timing is set at 7 degrees at dunes (can get racing gas there) and between 3 to 5 degrees for trail (use the best gas I can find there). I wanted to use the MDS to advance the timing insteed of having to pull the flywheel off. Any way, the question is > what is the best setting? I see the MSD lowest setting is 21 degrees (is this factory) and goes up to 28 degrees. There is a retard fuction that goes from 8 degrees to 15 degrees . The keep my seven degree advance would I set to 28 degrees advance and 14 degree (or less) retard??? Quote
