How Much Can I Sell My Bike For.

Hey guys i have a 1990 YZ 125, it bluebooks for around 1200, but i have seen some in the cycle trader with little modification for 1500(dont know if they are selling). Any ways i picked up this bike from a friend of mine for only 400 bucks. It was a steal and runs great. Ive been riding it a bit and it is very fast and i was surprised it lugged my 230 lb ass up hills so well. I checked it out, and its got a wiseco piston, a mikuni carb, and a K and N airfilter. The plastic was ok.. I repainted it all, sanded the rust off the frame and repainted that as well. It also has a brand new maxxis rear tire, brand new fly grips, FMF silencer, stock pipe,ceet seat,new fork guards and radiator guards. I really have no idea what to ask for it but im hoping to get between 1000 and 1300 for it. What do you guys think.

well i shure wouldnt count on getting 1500 for it unless you get a real sucker. i got my 2000 RM 125 in 03' for 1600 from a dealer! now i know that was a steal seeing at the time i could have sold it for 2300-2500 easily and still prob. could. you could get 900-1000 if its clean

yeah only reason i want to sell it, is because im am trying to become an off road vehicle pimp. I want to buy these things cheap and sell them for more.I was looking at getting a 2001 KXL 650 and a kx 60 for only 2400, the kxl could sell for 1700-2000 EASY and the 60 is worth close to a grand. Theres alot of money to be made selling bikes

I bought my 1993 xr200 (first bike) for $1100 wrecked the piss out of it and then sold it for $1350 bought my 1991 jeep for $2500 put rims on it mudbogged the shit out of it and sold it for $2000 and a $3000 sled If I were you i would put $1500 O.B.O. for your YZ My 2 cents

Cool thanks man, i figure start it up high and try to get them to commit to like 1200 or 1300 that way they think they are getting a deal, i used to be in sales, and i sold over 150 $3500 filter queen vaccum cleaner and air cleaner systems. So dirt bikes should be easy.

its going to be listed next week i believe. I cleaned it up real nice im hoping to get at least 1300, so then i will have 2200 total to buy something else. Any suggestions, on next bke/quad (i want a shee but im about 1500 more away from that.

i would look around for a used like 2000 year (around there) 2 stroke 80 dirtbike like a cr or somethin. buy a beat one, and polish it up, slap some rings in its, etc and sell for more.
