FlatTrackin Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 (edited) I got a 420 Trinity Long Rod engine, K&N clamp-ons, V-force reed valve, 34mm Kiehn carbs, Trinty Pro TT Port, and cool head with 18cc domes, fatty pipes and not sure of the silencers, just know they are FMF's.Shee runs fine, except when you hold the throttle in all the way for more than a second. If you get it a quick rev to full throttle it runs good. It runs good at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 throttle when held in. Just at full throttle left side doesnt fire all the time. Here's what i did Result new plugs nothing checked and cleaned both carbs completely, no dirt or derbis anywhere nothing checked floats nothing cleaned air filter nothing checked reeds, and valve nothing swapped carbs, problem still on same side so I can eliminate carbs completely The jetting is perfect, Ive been racing it with the mods for awhile. I raced it one weekend, got a 1st and 3rd, so you know it was running good, I didnt touch it all week, raced it next weekend, and in the practice laps it started doing this. Can sillencers cause this? I took the packing out, it was pretty bad. Could the packing somehow get clogged in there? I have no packing to replace it yet, and I dont want to run it with no packing, way too loud with thiis engine. Thank s in advance. Curt Edited April 29, 2005 by FlatTrackin Quote
