Just mod your stock timing plate. You'll want to extend the holes to the left, allowing you to rotated the plate clockwise. 1mm of rotation = 1 degree of advance, so you'll want to rotate it 5 or 6 degrees. You can search for modding timing plate or something similar and find pics and all kinds of info, plus IT"S FREE and safer than a key. fixitrod Posted April 19, 2005 Report Share Posted April 19, 2005 I measured my ricky stator plate and it was 4.5mm for 4 degrees. That's a good base for the banshee. YOu can cut the screw slots on the stator plate 4.5 mm and get the advance for free. Ricky Stator plates are only $35 and you can see how much advance you have.
