Bensshee Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 How can you measure if a crank is a long rod or short rod while it is still in the bottom half of the motor? Quote
9603banshee Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Well, if you're cylinders are off, use a metric measuring device, stock stroke is 54mm, go from there..... Quote
Ducman Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 Take the head off and get the # off the piston top. If it is a long rod, almost guarenteed it will have 795 series pistons (5mm offset wrist pin to go with 5mm longer rod). If memory serves, will have something like 7956450 Thats a 795 series piston with 64.50 mm bore (if the stock cylinder was bored once to clean up after porting) Quote
