chapmanmd Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Greetings. On my Banshee woods quad, I have a new Keihin 35mm PWK carb from Trinity. Other engine mods include: Trinity Stage II porting, Trinity cool head with 20mm domes, 3/8" Reed Spacers, Aktiv Reeds, Dynoport Pipe, CFM Aluminum airbox with K&N, and thats about it for the engine. My problem is this... It starts and idles great. It runs great from the midrange up. It has a wierd bog just off idle, but if you feather the throttle, it will rev. I'm new to the 2 into 1 thing and really dont know where to start fixing this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks. Mark Chapman Quote

When I got the carb from Trinity, the air screw was all the way in. I started with the screw 1.5 turns out and went from there. I dropped the needle in the clip and that didnt help either. Any suggestions as to what pilot I should even be starting with? I did my plug checks and the main jet is good. I'm close to putting the dual carbs back on... Thanks. Quote

I'm at 2850 ft elevation though, so of course your jetting will be different. The main problems were in the mid-range & I changed the pilots to the 58's & ordered a EEK needle from Carb Parts Warehouse (thanks Sredish) & it seemed to cure those problems. I'm running a 205 main. Quote
