jmoore Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Could you guys tell me how important it is to have forestry approved silencers? I guess I would like to know if I would get in trouble from the DNR when riding on public land without them. And what about in ATV parks? Do they check for decible levels? thanks for any input! Quote
decon Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 most of the atv parks I go to check for spark arrestors. i never really see ppl checking decibels, because your going to hear amounts of noise one way or another at an atv park. they are real serious about the spark arrestors though, you cant get in without them. i've seen a couple of people get left at the door b/c of no spark arrestors, so be sure to get some. Gargamel Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I know up here it is required. Caught without and they stop you where you are and you have to push the shee to the truck. Then slap you with I think somewhere around $250 fine. Quote
spoin39 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I cut my stock silencers to fit my T5's. Only have to cut like 1-1/2" off the stinger end and cut the lower frame mount off. I always take them when I go to a new place to ride just in case. Quote
