J-Madd Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 I've got the hydraulic clutch kit and a new PE billet basket. Any tips on installation would be appreciated. I've done a search, and haven't found a lot of info. Do you have to bleed the Magura right out of the box? The directions mention a bleeding syringe and Magura mineral oil, yet the kit doesn't come with either. Can I use regular mineral oil? What's he best way to run the line without touching my Toomeys? Now my cable's right on the pipe,. Also, I don't plan to use the stiff springs. I've had bad experiences in the past. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I've had my magura clutch lever for about 2 years now. I took my right side carb off to reach everything a little easier (you could take the left off, too, I was just being lazy) I've got T-5's and was also worried about burning the line. I took the spring/guard off of one of the stock cables (throttle or clutch) and put in on the hydraulic line. I also ran the line on the inside of the coolant tube that runs staight down to the clutch cover. Sounds confusing, but just take a look at your bike. Just don't like the plastic line hit your pipes. Or you can go buy the SS line for an extra $50 and just slap the lever w/out worrying about it! Quote
