Hey gang..I need a bit of advice here. I was riding last week at Winchester Bay, racing a modified 450R. After about six sequential passes (no breaks in between), I shut off my bike and it hasn't started since. I have no spark at the plugs; here's what I have checked thus far:

I've ohm tested the coil, the primary side tests bad at .5 ohms. I swapped the coil off of my buddy's Banshee, still no spark.

I then ohm test the stator, it tests good...so does the pickup coil. I also checked the pickup coil air gap, it's okay at .017". No rust on the flywheel and it is still magnetized.

I then swapped the CDI box off of my buddy's Banshee (with his coil still on my bike), still no spark.

I've ohm tested the woring harness and bypassed the kill switches.

So, I'm wondering if it possible for a stator to ohm test good, but not put out any current???

Thanks in advance!

Dunno...the 1st stator I had go out went just like yours did. I didn't have an OHM tester, but after putting in a new OEM one, shee fired back to life just fine. However, I wouldn't suggest an OEM stator, mine lasted maybe 8hrs before it went to shit. Dunno though man...anything's possible I guess. Have you pulled your flywheel & looked at the stator, to make sure nothing got screwed up?:shrugani:

Yeah, I pulled the flywheel off and it looks good. I'm really having a hard time buying that a stator that ohm tests good is really bad.

Thanks!
