There are two separate riding areas, one right below the dam, and another one that goes out on a island with varied terrain. The area by the dam is closed for several months each year for bald eagle nesting. I prefer the island. Been quite awhile since I've been there, but I hear from friends that it's getting more popular (crowded). Quote
