layshea Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 I bought a banshee of ebay recently. I knew when i bought it it needed work. The top end is new. It has very good compression. Both plugs have spark. I have put gas directly into the cylinders put the plugs back in and kicked and it fires, runs then dies. Should I suspect the carbs? Quote

Make sure you have fuel running through the fuel line to the carbs. Clean the carbs, jets and float needles. Clean the reeds. adjust the carbs. If the tors is still on it, make sure everything is plugged in and the switch on the clutch is not stuck Quote

Take out the pilot jets and blow through with cleaner and the same with the mains. also take off the float and clean the float needle and seat blow cleaner through each hole in the carb, making sure everything is not plugged up.
